South Mountain Community College Baseball Coach Todd Eastin Signs 10 New Student Athletes

South Mountain Community College (SMCC) Head Baseball Coach Todd Eastin announces 10 new baseball players for early signing for spring 2018. These recent high school graduates are from Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Nevada. Their outstanding performance on the field prompted Coach Eastin to enlist them as part of SMCC’s baseball team.

The new players are:

  • Jagger Parke, Right Hand Pitcher – Westwood High School (AZ)
  • Cole Newgaard, Left Hand Pitcher – Desert Vista High School (AZ)
  • Jarrett Wolfe, Right Hand Pitcher – Campo Verde High School (AZ)
  • Efrain Cervantes, Infielder – Salpointe Catholic High School (AZ)
  • Brendon Anderson, Right Hand Pitcher – Piedra Vista High School (NM)
  • Cade Povich, Left Hand Pitcher – Bellvue West High School (NE)
  • Derek DeColati, Right Hand Pitcher and Infielder – Cimarron-Memorial High School (NV)
  • Jake Haze, Infielder – ThunderRidge High School (CO)
  • Brodie Marino, Catcher – Regis Jesuit High School (CO)
  • JD Wadleigh, Left Hand Pitcher and Outfielder – Green Mountain High School (CO)

Coach Eastin has been spearheading SMCC’s baseball team for 15 years. He has coached 57 professionally, drafted players, and 144 of his players have earned scholarships to four-year universities. Coach Eastin’s teams have also ranked in the National Junior College Athletics Association Top 20 Poll, 13 times.
